The New Year

At 12:00 a.m. this morning, I was happy to toast to the New Year. I was after all, sick of 2008. Only a few minutes into 2009, I burst into tears for the millionth time this past week. Suddenly I realized that I was officially leaving the year that was Jim's last. Time is marching on. I miss you Jim so very much. I love you. I wish you could be a part of the march.

Love, MOM

  1. I did a lot of missing Jim on New Years Eve. I told Scott & Parker a ton of stories about Jim when we were little on our way up to Grand Rapids and then we made sure to toast to him as the ball dropped. On our way home last night I thought about past drives home from Grand Rapids and how they were usually spent on the phone with Jim. I miss him so much.

  2. 2008 the worst year ever in more ways than one....Isn't there ANYONE out there that has a conscious about what they have done? What they might have witnessed? What they might have heard or been told? How can they go on and look at themself in the mirror? Can they not think of how they would feel if it was one of THEIR family members? I will neer understand how someone can do this to an INNOCENT person. In the end lets only hope and pray justice will come to them. We ALL miss Jim and always will. I have a TON of hugs for you Jim when I see you in HEAVEN!!!
    Love,
    Tami
